Inspired by the lyrics of Tom Paxton's 'My Lady's a Wild Flying Dove'.

There something so loving and peaceful about this song's lyrics. In this exercise, I attempted to capture the love and wholesomeness it portrays.

The illustration contrains a very bright and soft colour palette to compliment our characters and stand out from the nature surrounding.

The focus of the illustration is guided by our character's sight lines, and revolves around our female character who stands out in the brightest colour of the piece.

This illustration also an exercise in full spead to vignette composition.
